Amber Thomas is a nail industry professional with 16 years of hands-on experience and a deep specialization in natural nail care. She is Co-Owner of Arch Rival Nails and the founder of the Healthy Nails Collaborative, a free, science-based education platform built to bring accurate information to every corner of the nail industry. In 2025, Amber was among just 10 professionals worldwide selected by Doug Schoon to review his new textbook "Advanced Chemistry of Nails: A Modern Education Guide to Products and Nail Structure" before publication, a recognition of both her technical depth and her commitment to getting the science right. Her path to education advocacy came from personal experience. Having lived through the consequences of overexposure to nail products and witnessed firsthand how deceptive marketing misleads professionals and consumers alike, she founded the Healthy Nails Collaborative with one goal: to make accurate, science-grounded nail education freely available to everyone, whether they are behind the table or sitting in the chair.

Lora Jones has a vast amount of knowledge about gel products, their manufacturing processes, chemicals, and production techniques. With over 11 years of experience as a nail technician and incredible artist, Lora's passion for nail care has driven her to become a co-founder of Arch Rival Nails. At Arch Rival Nails, Lora and the team are dedicated to providing safety conscious high-quality products to their customers.
Moreover, Lora is honored to serve as a Pro Gel Advisor for the Healthy Nails Collaborative. In this role, she actively promotes using nail products safely within the industry. As an HNC educator, Lora shares her expertise and valuable insights with fellow professionals, ensuring that they are equipped with the latest knowledge and techniques to provide the best nail care possible.
