It is built entirely on Doug Schoon’s book, Avanced Chemistry of Nails, one of the most respected scientific authority in our industry.  This is more than reading a book. The HNC Accreditation is about taking Doug Schoon’s science from book to nail tech table, understanding it, applying it, and communicating it directly in salon practice.

Q: How much time will this take each week?

Q: What if I fall behind?

Q: Can I retake a quiz if I fail?

Q: Will this accreditation count toward my state license?

Q: Do I need to be licensed to take this?

Q: What if I need support during the course?

👉 The HNC Accreditation is a self-guided program. There is no live instructor or direct support provided for homework, quizzes, or assignments.

• Quizzes are auto-graded, and homework/reflections are reviewed only for completion.

Q: Are refunds available?

Q: How will I receive my certificate?

👉 Certificates are printed and mailed to graduates after successful completion of all 52 modules and final assessment. A separate mailing fee is required to cover postage and handling.

 

Program Policies & Recognition

• Passing Requirement: A 💯 pass is required. Every open book quiz answer must be correct. Students may retake quizzes until they reach 100%.

• Completion Window: Students have 24 months from enrollment to complete the full program. Extensions will not be granted.

• Use of Certificate: Graduates may display the HNC Accreditation Certificate in their salon, on their website, and on social media to demonstrate that their knowledge is based on proven science, not opinions or marketing.

• Founders’ Recognition: As this is the first accreditation of its kind, students in the early graduating classes will be recognized as founding members, the first to set the bar for nail science and safety education worldwide.
