Education

Professional nail technicians who understand the chemistry behind the products they use are no longer just someone doing nails. The HNC accreditation demonstrates to your clients that you understand the materials, the risks, and the science required to protect them. It is also your first step toward becoming a nail educator.
This accreditation changes that. It is built entirely on Doug Schoon’s book, Avanced Chemistry of Nails, one of the most respected scientific authority in our industry. This is more than reading a book. The HNC Accreditation is about taking Doug Schoon’s science from book to nail tech table, understanding it, applying it, and communicating it directly in salon practice.

Building the Future
This first HNC Accreditation is not the end, it is the foundation for everything that comes next.
-
Baseline Standard: This course sets the first benchmark for nail science and safety in the industry. Future programs will expand on this shared foundation.
-
Student Feedback: Your reflections and feedback shape the direction of future courses. You’re helping design the blueprint.
-
Specialized Tracks: From here, courses will branch into advanced areas like nail allergies & dermatitis, product chemistry, curing technology, and salon protocols.
-
Professional Pathway: This is the beginning of a professional education pathway, not just a one-off class.
-
Industry Shift: By completing this first accreditation, you become part of the founding group, the nail techs who prove that being a professional is about knowledge, safety, and science, not just art.
